Hudugata: Taking the Stage Against Ragging

As part of the Anti-Ragging Week celebrations, the Drama Club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM) presented a thought-provoking campus play titled “Hudugata” on 18 August 2026 at 1:15 PM in the lobby of the Administrative Block.

Through the power of theatre, the play highlighted the serious consequences of ragging and conveyed a strong message on the importance of treating every student with dignity, respect and empathy.

The programme aimed to create greater awareness among students about the harmful impact of ragging and to encourage them to contribute towards building a safe, respectful and inclusive campus environment.

The engaging presentation by the Drama Club provided students with an impactful and relatable way to understand the importance of standing against ragging and fostering a culture of mutual respect.

The initiative reflected SMVITM’s continued commitment to promoting student safety, dignity and a positive campus culture.
