From Code to Documents: AI-DS Students Explore the Power of LaTeX

A hands-on workshop on “LaTeX for Technical Documentation” was conducted for the final-year students of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI-DS) on 7 August 2026. The session was led by Ms. Tejaswini H, Assistant Professor and In-charge HOD, AI-DS, with the objective of developing students’ skills in professional technical and academic documentation.

Organized in association with the ISTE Student Chapter and Ignite AI Department Club, the workshop provided practical exposure to creating structured documents using LaTeX, covering figures, tables, equations, acronyms, citations, references, cross-referencing, page formatting, and BibTeX-based bibliography management.

Mr. Sunil Haldankar welcomed the gathering, while Mr. Sarvesh Rao, Dr. Shrivathsa T. V., and Mr. Sunil Haldankar coordinated the programme.

The workshop enhanced students’ technical documentation, scientific writing, and academic reporting skills, providing them with a practical foundation for preparing project reports, research papers, dissertations, and other technical documents.
