The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in association with the Indian Society for Technical Education Student Chapter, organized a hands-on workshop titled “Fix it Right: A Workshop on Electrical and Electronics Troubleshooting” on April 23, 2026, at the ECE Department. The session was conducted by Madhusudhan Thantry, who provided practical insights into electrical wiring techniques, equipment handling, and troubleshooting methods.
The workshop began with an introduction to electrical safety practices and basic wiring concepts, followed by demonstrations of one-way, two-way, three-way, and staircase wiring connections. Participants were introduced to the working principles and common faults of household appliances such as fans, mixer grinders, induction cooktops, and LED TVs. The session also featured demonstrations on relay operations and hands-on training in PCB soldering, enabling students to learn proper techniques and safety measures.
A total of 24 students actively participated in the workshop, gaining valuable exposure to real-world applications and strengthening their understanding of electronic components and circuit functionality. The program was coordinated by Chandana and proved to be an enriching and interactive learning experience for all participants.
