The AIKya Club, in association with the IEEE Computer Society, successfully conducted an engaging workshop titled “The Transition of Artificial Intelligence: From Classical to Multi-Agent Orchestration” on April 9, 2026. The session, held in Computer Lab F-107, was led by Dr. Rithuparna Datta, Associate Director at Cognizant AI Lab, Bengaluru, and witnessed active participation from sixth-semester AIML students.
The workshop delivered a solid blend of theory and hands-on exposure, covering key AI concepts such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and data-driven decision-making through statistics. A major highlight was the deep dive into Generative AI, where participants explored how modern systems create content and why high-quality training data is critical for reliable models. Students also gained insights into Large Language Models (LLMs) and Small Language Models (SLMs), understanding their practical applications in real-world scenarios.
The session stood out for its interactive approach, featuring live demonstrations and a final project that allowed participants to apply their learning in real time. The workshop not only strengthened technical understanding but also sparked curiosity about the evolving landscape of multi-agent AI systems, leaving attendees motivated and future-ready.
