AAKRITI-2026: SMVITM Donates 45 Science Models to Nearby Schools

The Department of Basic Sciences & Humanities of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, successfully organized AAKRITI-2026, a Science Model Exhibition and Competition aimed at fostering scientific temper, creativity, and experiential learning among engineering students.

As part of the initiative, second-semester engineering students designed and developed 45 science models covering a wide range of fundamental scientific concepts, including the Human Heart, Digestive System, Respiratory System, Solar System, Animal Cell, Plant Cell, Structure of an Atom, and several other topics. These models were created as interactive teaching aids to support science education in schools.

In a meaningful community outreach initiative, the institute donated the models to four nearby educational institutions. S.V.H. English Medium High School, Innanje received 16 models, St. John’s Academy, Shankerpura and Sri Narayanaguru High School, Padubelle received 10 models each, while Government PU College, Hiriadka received 9 models.

The school authorities appreciated SMVITM’s thoughtful initiative, noting that the science models would make classroom teaching more engaging through visual and hands-on learning experiences. The programme not only provided engineering students with an opportunity to apply their knowledge creatively but also contributed to enhancing science education at the school level.

AAKRITI-2026 successfully combined experiential learning with community service, reflecting SMVITM’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and social responsibility.
