Industry Connect on “Navigating Careers in Insurance and Claims Management”

The Department of Business Administration, SMVITM, in association with the Training and Placement Cell, Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC), and IEEE TEMS Student Branch Chapter, organized an Industry Connect session on “Navigating Careers in Insurance and Claims Management” on 17th July 2026. The session was conducted by Mr. Dinesh Samant, Managing Director, Punarnava Insurance Broking Pvt. Ltd., along with his team. The resource persons highlighted the importance of continuous learning and provided insights into risk management, the insurance industry, various insurance products, and career opportunities in insurance broking, underwriting, claims management, sales, and customer service.
The session also covered the insurance claim process, claim settlement procedures, and ethical practices through real-life examples and interactive discussions. It enhanced students’ understanding of the insurance sector, strengthened their industry awareness, and inspired them to explore career opportunities in insurance, risk management, and claims services, making the program both informative and career-oriented.
