Industrial Visit to Ooty & Wayanad

The Department of MBA organized an industrial visit to Ooty and Wayanad, from 9th to 12th July 2026, providing students with an opportunity to gain practical exposure to industrial operations, sustainable business practices, and tourism management.
During the visit, students explored Benchmark Chocolate Factory, Benchmark Tea Factory & Tea Museum, Honey Museum (Old Vythiri), tea plantations, and Banasura Sagar Dam, along with other notable destinations. They gained first-hand knowledge of tea and chocolate manufacturing processes, quality control, packaging, branding, plantation management, honey production, and sustainable agricultural practices. The visit also highlighted the importance of water resource management and eco-tourism in regional economic development.
The industrial visit effectively bridged the gap between classroom learning and real-world business practices. It enhanced students’ understanding of production systems, quality management, sustainability, and tourism while fostering teamwork, observation, communication, and professional skills. The experience proved to be an enriching learning opportunity that will contribute to their academic and career development.
