Cracking the Code to Careers: Mastering Technical Interviews

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, in association with the AIKYA Club, ISTE, and Alumni Cell, organized an insightful technical talk on “Cracking the Code to Careers: Mastering Technical Interviews” on 22 August 2026 at A-304.

The session was delivered by Ms. Bhoomikha, Junior Procurement Engineer, Blackfrog Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Manipal, and was attended by 29 students of the 7th Semester AI & ML program.

The talk focused on helping students understand the expectations of modern technical recruitment processes and approach interviews with greater confidence and clarity. Students were introduced to practical strategies for resume defense, technical problem-solving, coding rounds, and project presentation.

A key highlight of the session was the CLAR framework, which encourages candidates to clarify requirements, constraints, and edge cases before beginning to code. Students were also encouraged to think aloud during problem-solving, allowing interviewers to understand their reasoning and approach.

The resource person further introduced the STAR methodology for presenting projects effectively, emphasizing the importance of clearly communicating individual contributions and technical decisions. The session also highlighted targeted preparation for core subjects and recommended platforms such as IndiaBIX, LeetCode, GeeksforGeeks, HackerRank, CodeChef, and InterviewBit.

The session provided students with practical, industry-oriented guidance and a structured approach to preparing for upcoming recruitment drives. The interactive discussion helped students identify areas for improvement in their resumes, technical preparation, and interview communication.

The program concluded with students gaining a clearer understanding of the technical interview journey and actionable strategies to strengthen their preparation for campus and off-campus opportunities.
