On November 22, 2025, the AIkya-AIML club, in association with the IEEE student chapter under the IEEE Computer Society, organized an insightful session titled “Become Industry-Ready: Skills & Mindset for Modern Software Engineering.” This event took place in Classroom A306 of the admin block and was led by Mr. Guruprasad Shantharaja from the Commonwealth Bank in Bangalore. The session addressed essential technical foundations, DevOps practices, and the professional mindset required to thrive as a software engineer. Participants were introduced to key topics, including modern software roles, T-shaped skills, cloud architecture, and security practices. Dr. Mamatha I, Head of the Department of AI-ML, emphasized the importance of practical knowledge and shared a well-structured roadmap designed to help students develop the necessary skills to become job-ready in today’s technology landscape. This session is exclusively for registered students and will take place every Thursday from 8:00 to 9:00 PM as an online session on a weekly basis.
