Kannada Rajyothsava

The Human Rights Cell in association with the NSS, Rotaract Club, Co-Curricular Cell of SMVITM had organized ‘Kannada Rajyothsava’ on 03/11/2017 in the institute premises.

Dr. Vasudeva, Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering who is also the chief guest on the occasion spoke on reasons for the up-trends and down-trends of our mother tongue Kannada. He suggested many feasible solutions also to make Kannada much more popular. Kannada is a distinguished language, it is never going to perish, it shall live long, he said ultimately.

He also distributed the prizes for the winners of the participants of Kannada essay and speech competitions which were held on behalf of Kannada Rajyotsava.

The Principal of the institute, Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat delivered the presidential address.
