BLOOD DONATION CAMP AT SMVITM

National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross wing, (YRC) and Rotaract Club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, in association with G Shankar family trust (R), Mogaveera Yuva Sangatane (R), Bellampalli Gataka and Blood bank of K.M.C, Manipal organized one-day blood donation Camp at the institute premises on 24 April 2019.

Mr. Vinay Karkera, President, Mogaveer Yuva Sanghatane, Udupi inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp.  Mr. Sathish Salian, District level Rajyothsava Awardee, Dr. Shamee Shastry, Professor and Head in the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion at KMC Manipal, Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal of SMVITM; NSS/YRC/RC Coordinator Mr. Kishor Kumar Aroor, HOD’s of various departments, Departmental coordinators, office bearers, members of the NSS, YRC and Rotaract Club and student volunteers were present during the inaugural function.

More than 200 Volunteers, including faculty, staff and students of SMVITM and public had donated blood with a total of 150 units of blood collected at the camp.
