National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross Wing and Rotaract Club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, Udupi, organized an orientation program on “Skill development, Volunteerism, and Community-oriented services by Youth for Seva Bengaluru on Wednesday, 22 December 2021 in the institute premises. Mr.Abhishek Aiyyappan and Mr. Suprith and Ms. Ramitha from Youth for Seva were the resource persons.
Mr. Abhishek, in his presentation, said that Youth for Seva is a nationwide volunteering movement that inspires youth to volunteer and provides them with meaningful opportunities to serve the community. He explained that the goal of Youth for Seva is to support schools, destitute shelters, government hospitals, and other organizations in the social sector through volunteers who can help them mitigate some of their shortcomings and challenges. Volunteering is made easy and customized to the individual’s interests, time availability and skillsets.
Mr. Suprith was briefed about the company profile and various volunteering opportunities in Youth for Seva.
Ms. Ramitha region head, Udupi, Youth for Seva shared the information about various activities that a student can do and focus areas of Youth for Seva like education, health etc.
Dr.Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal; Dr.Ganesh Aithal Vice Principal; conveyed their best wishes to the program. Ms. Jelena welcomed the gathering and compeered the program. Mr.Nagaraja Rao, Coordinator NSS conducted the program. More than 300 students including faculty participated in the program.
