WORLD WATER DAY CELEBRATION

Eco club-“Prakriti” of Shri MadhwaVadiraja Institute of technology and Management, Bantakal, in association with JCI Kallianpura celebrated “World water day” on 22^nd March 2017 in the institute premises. Ms.Phebe Ann Samuel invoked the program with prayer. Mr.Arun H.R introduced the resource person Jc. Joseph G M Rebello.

The resource person of the program, Jc. Joseph G M Rebello, delivered a talk on “Rain Water Harvesting” on account of World Water Day. He stressed the importance of water and gave lot of information regarding preservation and conservation of water. The talk created awareness among the students and faculty about how to conserve water.

Sri.Ratnakumar, secretary SSVMET presided over the function. In his address he said that water is essential to every living being on the earth and we should protect the resources of water.

Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshawar Bhat, Principal SMVITM, in his speech said that water can be preserved every day by consciously utilizing it in our day to day activities.

President of JCI Kallianapura, JFD Prashanth Acharya, welcomed the gathering. Secretary of JCI kallianpura JFD Nithyanand Kumar and other office bearer of JCI kallianpura were present during the function.

Ms. Shriraksha Acharya compeered the programme. More than 150 members were present and got benefited from the programme.
