WORKSHOP ON CNC PROGRAMMING

Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management Bantakal, has successfully organized three days workshop on ‘CNC PROGRAMMING & HANDS-ON SESSIONS ON VERTICAL MACHINING CENTER’ for ITI & Polytechnic students of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts during 19^th to 21^st January 2016.
Workshop was organized by Mechanical Engineering Department in association with Community Orientation Club. 42 students of various polytechnic colleges took its advantage.
Teaching and non-teaching staff of the Department of Mechanical Engineering were the resource persons in workshop and taught students regarding the basics of CNC program writing along with hands-on session on R&D center and vertical milling center. Students were really enthusiastic throughout the session in learning various concepts and operating high end VMC. Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwar Bhat, Principal, SMVITM, Prof. Dr. Sudarshan Rao, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Prof. Vivekanand B. Huddar, workshop coordinator congratulated the students for participating in the workshop.
