Webinar on “Protecting the ozone Layer and combating climate change”

The Department of Chemistry in association with ISTE Faculty Chapter of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management had organized webinar on “Protecting the ozone Layer and combating climate change” for the benefit of faculty members, researchers and students on 16 September 2021,  as a part of World Ozone Day celebrations.

Dr. Balakrishna Keshav, professor, Department of Civil Engineering, MIT Manipal was the resource person of the webinar. In his address, he explained about the reasons for Ozone depletion and also he clarified myths regarding ozone layer. Also he talked about Earths climate change.

The webinar was hosted online using Google meet application. Dr. Reena Kumari Head of Chemistry Department along with faculty members Dr. Subbulakshmi N. Karanth , Ms.Raviprabha  and Ms.Renita S. Monis had organized this event.
