Water conservation and rain water harvesting awareness talk and Vanamostava

Communiy club and Eco club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, organised “Water conservation and rain water harvesting” awareness talk and Vanamostava on 3rd October 2018.

The program’s motto was to create awareness about scarcity of water and need for water conservation and also rain water harvesting in PU students. Ms. Deepika BV, Assistant Professor, Department of civil Engineering gave a talk on water scarity and water conservation with statistics. Mr. Sunil Haldankar gave a talk on Rainwater harvesting with case studies.

The presentation highlighted the availability of fresh water for domestic usage. The pollution of fresh water due to improper disposal of waste water. Some methods of conservation of water. Simple methods of rainwater harvesting and the importance of rain water harvesting. The program was followed by vanamostava where five plants were planted in SVH PU college ground.

Around 245 members, comprising of Principal, students and staff of SVH PU College, participated in the program.
