Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) organized the seventh edition of Asia’s largest exhibition on metal forming – IMTEX FORMING 2022 and concurrent Tool tech and Digital Manufacturing at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) in Bengaluru from June 19 – 20, 2022. The Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with ED cell of SMVITM Udupi organized a visit to the IMTEX Forming exhibition in Bangalore for 4th-year students of Mechanical Engineering on 19 /06/2022. The students visited all the stalls and saw the working procedure of the various CNC machines, Dies and Presses, Welding machines, Bending Machines, and Forming Machines, and also interacted with the technical and marketing executives regarding processes and job opportunities. The students also collected brochures and visiting cards from various companies to establish contacts in the future.
On 20/06/2022 students visited AMS Ltd Bangalore. The resource persons explained each
component of the CNC Milling and CNC lathe Machines such as bed, Headstock, tool post, carriage, etc.
The resource persons also explained the complete assembly process of CNC vertical machines, horizontal machines & drill tap machining centers. The company has expertise in manufacturing CNC Vertical Machining Centers, Horizontal Machining Centers, Twin Spindle Machining Centers, and Drill Trap Machining Centers. AMS also offers tooled-up, jigs & fixtures, and automation manufacturing solutions centered around these products.
The students discussed with the resource persons regarding various aspects related to the processes and possible recruitment opportunities.
