Varnothsava’17

The fourth edition of the state-level Inter-collegiate techno-cultural fest “Varnothsava 2017” was inaugurated by Sri Rathnakumar, Secretary, Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust(SMVITM), Udupi at 9.30 AM on 16 February 2017. Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, SMVITM, Sri Raghavendra Tantry, Administrative Officer of SSVMET, Sri Harish Belman, Technical advisor, SMVITM and Mr. Siju V Soman, Coordinator of event were present during the Occasion. More than 600 participants from 15 engineering colleges of Karnataka State participated in competitive cultural and technical events held as part of the fest.

The valedictory function was held at 4.30 pm on the same day. H. H. Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji, President of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust (SSVMET), Udupi and Sri Ratnakumar, Secretary, SSVMET gave away the prizes. Prof. Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal, Honorary Director, Mrs. Subbulakshmi N Karanth, Institutional Extra-Curricular Coordinator and Mr. Rajesh Nayak, Institutional Co-Curricular Coordinator were present in the occasion.

The Overall Winners’ trophy was won by the NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte and Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology, Moodabidri  was awarded the Runner Up trophy. After the valedictory program, Yakshagana “Shwethakumara charithre” was enacted by the students and staff of the institute.
