The inter‐collegiate techno-cultural fest, Varnothsava’19 with a theme “Tulunada Heritage” was inaugurated at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal on 7th March 2019. Our proud alumni Mr. Nihal Shetty, Senior Executive – Industrial Engineer, Shahi Exports Pvt. Ltd. Mysuru was the Chief Guest for this function. In his address he said that apart from the academics it is very much essential to involve in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to excel in professional life. Mr. Gagan Prabhu, who was also alumni of our college and Developer, SAP Labs India Pvt. Ltd. Bengaluru was the Guest of Honor. In his address he appreciated the involvement of students in the decoration of the campus and insisted the students to develop good attitude and skills to achieve greater heights.
His holiness Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji, President, SSVEMET, Udupi was presiding the function and gave the blessings. Shri Ratnakumar, Secretary, SSVMET, who was on the dais addressed the gathering and conveyed his best wishes for all the participants. The prizes of various intracollegiate cultural and sports competitions were given away during the occasion.
Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal of the institute welcomed the gathering. Ms. Swasthi Shetty introduced the chief guest. Ms. Vaishnavi Pai, introduced the guest of honor. Ms. Anujna Rao and Mr. Rohith Prakash Veigas, Assistant professors, announced the winner’s list. Mr. Trivikram Bhat rendered an invocation. Ms. Jyothi Kamath proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Suraj Shet and Ms. Rathnashree Acharya compered the program.
The valedictory ceremony of the inter‐collegiate techno-cultural fest, Varnothsava’19, was held at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal on 08th March 2019. More than 400 participants from different engineering colleges of Karnataka State have participated in the various cultural and technical events held as part of the fest. H. H. Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt, Udupi, President of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust (SSVMET), Udupi gave away the prizes during the valedictory function. The Overall Winners’ trophy was won by the NMAMIT, Nitte and MITE, Moodabidri was awarded the Runner Up trophy.
Shri Sandeep Kumar, Principal, Poornaprajna PU College, Udupi was the chief guest of the program. In his address, he appreciated the infrastructure and facilities available in the SMVITM campus and congratulated the organizers for providing a platform for the students to showcase their hidden talents. Shri Ratnakumar, Secretary, SSVMET, Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, were present in the dais. After the valedictory program, Yakshagana “Veeramani Kalaga” was enacted by the faculty and students of the institute.
