The management & entrepreneurial event – ‘ಸಮುದ್ಯತಾ’

The management & entrepreneurial event – ‘ಸಮುದ್ಯತಾ’ was conducted for pre-final year students of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering in the institute premises on 30 November 2021.

The purpose of the event was to provide students with insights into management and entrepreneurial activities. More than 100 students took part in the event. The major goal of this event was to provide real-world experience in product production and marketing. As part of this event, students were required to earn the money on their own by participating in innovative activities. Later, as part of a real business task, a huge number of students prepared the best out of waste and sold it to the audience, by which they earned a reasonable amount of money on their own. Students participated in many other management-related events such as Flip Flop, Group Discussion about emerging topics, Building Towers, Two Truths and a Lie, and so on which enthralled the participants.

Ms.Ramyashree, Assistant Professor, of Computer Science and Engineering department, welcomed the gathering and Dr.Nagaraj Bhat, Head of Department, Computer Science and Engineering addressed the gathered students, gave a brief prelude to the event, and motivated them towards active participation with his words.

The event –‘ಸಮುದ್ಯತಾ’,A student entrepreneurial activity mentored by Ms. Savitha Shenoy and Ms. Ramyashree, Assistant Professors, from the department of CSE, contained several interesting and fruitful activities.

The event was judged by Dr. CK Manjunath, Student Welfare Officer, and Ms. Vidya Bhat, Training and Placement Officer. At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Vasudeva, Professor and Dean (Research and Consultancy), IEEE student branch counselor, awarded prizes to the winners of various events.

Student coordinators Mr.Aniketh Shenoy, Ms.Vaishnavi D, Ms.Shravya Kamath, Ms.Avanti hosted the event and Ms.Savitha Shenoy, Assistant Professor(Sr.), department of CSE proposed the vote of thanks at the closure.
