The Annual Sports Meet of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management, Bantakal was held on 19 March 2025 in the institute premises. Dr. B Gananath Shetty, Co-founder of Creative Education Foundation, Moodbidri, Karkala was the chief guest for the inaugural function held in the morning. Inaugurating the event, he said that taking part in sports is very helpful for physical fitness and sports will help to reduce mental stress in busy human life. He gave away prizes to the winners in the sports competitions on the occasion.
The event was also graced by Shri Rathnakumar, Secretary of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust (SSVMET), Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal of the institute presided over the function. Mr. Paul Suraj, Physical Education Director and faculty, staff and Students were present during the function. Student sports secretary Ms. Sameeksha Shetty administered the oath to the participants and Assistant sports secretary Abhishek proposed the vote of thanks. Attractive March past was held before the inauguration. Niramaya college of Nursing and Allied Sciences students won the best contingent award in March Past.
