ISTE Faculty Chapter and Extracurricular cell of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal celebrated Teachers’ Day in commemoration of the birthday of the great legend of our country Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan at the institute premises.
Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal at his presidential speech highlighted the importance of quality teaching and being honest in the society.
Shri Kudi Vasanth Shetty, National Best Teacher Awardee, Rtd. High School Headmaster Was the Chief Guest for the event. He started by letting the audience know how he chose the field of teaching. He also mentioned that the 1st teacher of any student is their mother. The student life is centered by three gurus, mother, father & teacher. He beautifully mentioned the sacrifice that parents make to nurture & shape the life of their ward. He also gave examples of real life issues which added on values to student teacher relationships. He made the audience ponder with a richness of thoughts to respect parents & teachers.
Shri Rathnakumar addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of values that need to be imbibed in the students for a better society.
Thereon Chief Guest Shri Kudi Vasanth Shetty felicitated the winners of ‘Tug of War’ conducted on National sports day held on 29th august.
The memento was given to the Chief guest by guest of honor as a gesture of gratitude & the event was culminated by vote of thanks which was done by pratham 2nd yr- AI-DS student. The event began with invoking divine blessings by Hithashree. Followed by the welcome address by Ankitha Shet, student of 4th year ECE.The master of ceremony was done by Vaishnavi 2nd yr cse student. All the SMVITM family members were present for the gathering.
