Tantrikothsava-16

Tantrikotsava-16 the third edition of the state level annual intercollegiate technical fest organized by SMVITM was held on 10 March 2016.

More than 750 participants from 11 Engineering colleges of D.K. and Udupi districts participated in the competitive technical events held as part of the fest.

This fest had competitive events like Te-present (Paper presentation) in Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, & Communication and Computer science and Engineering disciplines; general technical events like Sarvekshan & Modula (Civil), Crack-C and Webbed (CS&E); Circutrix and MATrix (E&CE) and Mould it and CAD-IT (Mechanical). The events carried cash prizes worth more than Rs. Two Lakhs.

H.H. Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji, inaugurated the event. He presided over the valedictory function and gave away the trophies. The overall winner’s trophy was won by NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte, Udupi and Alva’s Institute of Technology, Moodabidri was awarded the runner up trophy. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal SMVITM presented a brief report on the event and congratulated the participants at the valedictory.

Mr. Ratna Kumar, Secretary, SSVMET; Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aital, Director ICAS Manipal university and Honorary Director, SMVITM; Mr. Harish Belman, Advisor to SMVITM,; Prof. A. Ganesha,, Dean ( Academics) and Dr. Balachandra Achar, Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Overall coordinator of Tantrikotsava 16 were present.
