Talk on Consumer and Human Rights

The Human Rights Cell of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management organized a talk on ‘Human and Consumer Rights’ on Thursday 03 May 2018 in the institute premises.

Dr. Ravindranath Shanbhag, President, Human Rights Protection Foundation, Udupi was the resource person on the occasion.  He spoke about the struggles faced by common people due to lack of knowledge about laws. He has delivered his talk with many case studies and also explained the struggle he and his team members faced to get the justice for the affected person and their family. It is a stunning presentation by Dr. Ravindranath Shanbhag and very useful to the members who were part of the program.

The general awareness of the rules and regulations given by the Dr. Shanbhag were really found useful to the participants. He also urged that every member of the society is equally responsible to claim his benefits. There were many more benefits offered by the company to the consumers whenever he claims the failure of the products.

He also promised for the audience that they can consult him whenever they face any problems regarding the violation of the human rights.
