Talk on “A Gender Responsive Approach to Innovation, Technology & Digital Education”

The Women Empowerment Cell of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management organized a guest talk on “A Gender Responsive Approach to Innovation, Technology & Digital Education” on account of International women’s day celebrations on 8th March 2023.

Mrs.Vidya Shenoy, Head-Talent Acquisition, Manipal Group was the resource person. Around 100 students participated in the session. Faculties and staff members of the college were also present.

Mrs.Vidya told the girl students to speak out in order to grab opportunity and achieve in life. She spoke about the different challenges they need to face in reaching the higher position in an organization. Mrs.Vidya emphasized on the importance of diversity in innovation and technology.

She said that women are the best to bring out innovation and technology. They need to step out of their comfort zone to change, grow and transform. Mrs.Vidya explained about the different government schemes like Kaushalya yojana, Mudra loan scheme etc available for entrepreneurs.

Dr.Deepika B V, HOD of Civil Engineering and Coordinator of Women Empowerment Cell coordinated the programme. Mrs.Vimitha, Assistant Professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department was the master of ceremony for the program.
