Swadha Sadana a cooking event

The cooking event ಸ್ವಾದ ಸದನ was conducted for second-year students of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering by the Co-curricular/Extra-Curricular Committee of the Department on 25-02-2023. The event was conducted as a part of a study of the Social Connect and Responsibility subject of their curriculum. Totally 16 teams from both sections participated in the event.
The purpose of the event was to provide students with insights into various traditional food grains, pulses, fruits, and vegetables of South Canara. It was an opportunity for students to learn about the traditional food dishes prepared from various millets.
The students were supposed to prepare sweets using millet, healthy snacks without using fire, and a healthy beverage. The event was judged by Dr. Deepika B V, HOD, Department of Civil Engineering and Mr. Ananthesh Rao, Senior Assistant Professor of Mechanical Department.
Ananya Poojary and team won the First Place from A Section and Smitha and team won the First Place from B Section. Navya and Team won the second place from A Section and Saathwik Nayak and team won the second place from B Section The event was mentored by Ms. Savitha Shenoy, Senior Assistant Professor, from the Department of CSE.
