The Spoken Tutorial project is the initiative of the ‘Talk to a Teacher’ activity of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India.The Spoken Tutorial Project is about teaching and learning a particular FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) like Java, Python, Netbeans via an easy Video tool – Spoken Tutorials.
The FOSS training covered under the project includes software like scripting software, application software, computation software, computational fluid dynamics software, utility software, programming software, animation and graphic software, EDA Tools, Chemistry/Chemical software etc..
Spoken Tutorial Team consisting of Mr. Rama Moorthy H, CSE Dept., Mr. Sharath D Shetty, Mech Dept., Mr. Raghavendra J K, Civil Dept., and Mr. Sharath Kumar, CSE Dept., Mr. Chetan R, ECE Dept., successfully organized total of 07 workshop with 125 participants by beaconing the important inputs and sorting out the queries at the needful time. All participants from various disciplines, benefited with the ‘Learn by doing’ task and assignments. SMVITM students used CCC to access spoken tutorial exercise materials.
