SMVITM, Bantakal, Concludes Two-Day International Conference and Student Symposium

Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM) successfully hosted a two-day International Conference and Student Symposium on December 21, 2024, bringing together researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and students to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration in engineering and technology. The event began with an invocation by Dr. Manjunath from the Mechanical Department. Ms. Sthuthi (Department of Basic Science) and Mr. Mallya Ananth Mohan (Mechanical Engineering) served as the Masters of Ceremony. Dr. Shilpa Kamath (ECE Department) delivered the Welcome Address, emphasizing SMVITM’s dedication to research and innovation.

The conference featured two tracks:

• MEEMS 2024: Materials, Energy, Environment, and Manufacturing Sciences
• CISC 2024: Computational Intelligence and Smart Communication

Reports for MEEMS 2024 and CISC 2024 were presented by Dr. Raja Yathish Yadav (Mechanical Engineering) and Dr. Sowmya J. Bhat (CSE), respectively.

Dr. U.C. Niranjan, Director of Research and Training at Manipal Dot Net Pvt. Ltd., served as the Chief Guest, sharing insights on technological advancements and professional networking at international conferences. He praised the institution for organizing an impactful event and highlighted the success of an SMVITM graduate working at his organization.

The Best Paper Awards were announced by Dr. Ganesh Aithal (Vice Principal) and presented by the Chief Guest, honoring outstanding research contributions. Principal Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat commended the organizing team, faculty, and participants for their efforts.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. Sunil Haldankar. The symposium reinforced SMVITM’s standing as a center of academic and research excellence.
