Session on Incubation – Opportunities for Students & Faculties and Institution Building

Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal conducted a Session on “Incubation – Opportunities for Students & Faculties and Institution Building” on 30, August, 2022. The Program was jointly organized by the Institution’s Innovation Council of the institute and MUTBI, Manipal.

Dr. Shrihari Upadhyaya, CEO, Manipal Universal Technology Business Incubator (MUTBI) participated as the resource person. During the session, Dr. Shrihri explained various incubation schemes of Government of India like NIDHI-EIR, NIDHI-PRAYAS, and how they are supporting startups. He mentioned that the faculties, students and alumni’s of institute plays important role in creating entrepreneurial culture within the institute. He quoted several examples of well-known entrepreneurs and told the gathering that mindset plays important role in setting up a successful company.

He gave the examples of various startups incubated at MUTBI Manipal and how MUTBI supported them through various funding schemes.

The resource person briefly described the implementation of National Innovation Startup Policy of the Government of India.

The Principal of the institute Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Dr. Sudarshan Rao, Dean (Quality Assurance) HoDs of various department, staff and faculties of the institute participated in the program and interacted with the resource person.

Mr. Arun Upadhyaya, Convener of Institution’s Innovation Council  organnised the program. welcomed Ms. Akshatha Rao introduced the resource person and proposed vote of thanks at the end of the program.
