National Youth Day Celebration – 2018

The National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross (YRC) and Rotaract Club (RC) of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, celebrated the National Youth Day on 12 January 2018 to commemorate the 155^th Birthday of Swami Vivekananda.

Shri. A. Pundarikaksha Kodancha, Lecturer in English, SVHPU College, Innanje was the chief guest on the occasion.  He spoke on a number of salient points regarding life of Swami Vivekananda and his contribution towards educational field. He elaborated principles and practices of Shri Swamiji which the younger generation can follow.

The Principal of the institute, Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat presided over the function. In his presidential address he insisted the importance of conducting National Youth Day.

Mr. Kishor Kumar Aroor, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, SMVITM, Bantakal and the Institutional NSS / YRC / RC Coordinator, spoke about the importance of the program and welcomed the gathering. Ms. Shriraksha Acharya, President, Rotaract Club, introduced the chief guest. Mr. Sandesh Kumar D., Presidents of NSS, proposed the vote of thanks. All Departmental NSS/YRC/RC Coordinators, Heads and staff members from various departments, and all the office bearers of NSS/YRC and RC were present on the occasion.

The program commenced with the invocation by Ms. Shreya Bhat and Ms. Akshatha. The Program was compered by Ms. Anjana.
