Launching Ceremony of Center of excellence for research in artificial intelligence

A center of excellence for research in artificial intelligence was launched at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM) Bantakal, in association with Cere Labs Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai. The launching ceremony was held at campus premises on 22 March 2017. The function was presided over by His Holiness Shri Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji, President of SSVMET. Mr. Devesh Rajadhyax, CEO, Cere Labs Pvt. Ltd., was the chief guest. In his address he explained the scope of research in artificial intelligence and machine learning. He explained the objectives and activities of CoE. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Cere Lab and SMVITM in this occasion.

Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, SMVITM explained the importance of establishing such centers of excellence in academic institutions. Shri Rathnakumar, Secretary, SSVMET was present on the dais. Shri Raghavendra Tantry, Shri Neelesh Dalvi, Shri Sidhesh Wagle, Shri Chandrashekhar Rao Kuthyar were present during the program. Prof. Vasudeva, HOD of Computer Science & Engineering welcomed the gathering and Mr. Venugopal Rao A S proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Samanvitha Bhagavath compered the program and Ms. Shilpa Bhat rendered the invocation.
