INSTALLATION OF ROTARACT CLUB OF SMVITM – 2017

The installation ceremony of the Rotaract Club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management, (SMVITM), Bantakal, sponsored by Rotary Shankarpura, was held on 07 September 2017.

Rtn. Manjunath Karanth, District Rotaract Representative (DRR), Rotary International District (RID) 3182, was the chief guest on the occasion. During his address to the gathering, he encouraged the students of SMVITM to organize many Rotary Club activities under the aegis of the SMVITM Rotaract Club. The guest of honor Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, SMVITM, in his address briefly explained the importance of the Rotaract movement and congratulated the new office bearers and members.

Rtn. Naveen Barboza, President, Rotary Club, Shankarpura acted as the Installing officer at the function. Rtn. Ganapathi Acharya, Club Chairman, Mr. Kishor Kumar Aroor, Institutional NSS –YRC-RC Coordinator also delivered their messages on the occasion. Departmental coordinators Mr. Narayan Nayak, Mr. Ranjith Bhat, Mr. B.N. Ramachandra, Mr. Roshan B Kotian, Rtr. Srinivas Bhat and HODs and Section heads of various departments were present during the ceremony.

For the academic year 2017 – 18, Rtr. N Shriraksha Acharya was sworn in as the President, Rtr. Aneesh K Bhat as the Secretary, Rtr. Shubha Rao as the Treasurer and Rtr. Megha S Samaga as the Vice President, Rtr. Sanjay J Acharya, Rtr. Krithika Pai, Rtr. Shrinath Patkar and Rtr. Samanvitha Bhagavath were sworn in as the Directors, and Rtr. Meghana Prabhu as the Sergeant in Arms.
