Industrial visit – Lamina Foundries, Nitte

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell in association with Mechanical Engineering Department of SMVITM, Bantakal organized a one-day industrial visit to year Lamina Foundries, Nitte on 26th May 2017 for the 2^nd year students of the department. The visit was from the 10:30am to 12:30pm.

During the visit, the 38 students have visited different departments of the Foundry. Mr Satish Tantry gave comprehensive explanations on the various components and their individual and combined working. The students gained clarity on several aspects pertaining to the functioning of a foundry and were also overwhelmed by the sheer scale of its operational technicalities.

Mr. Narayan Nayak and Mr Aditya Kudva, Asst. Professors, Department of Mechanical Engineering accompanied the students on the visit.
