IIT Madras awards Ph.D. to Balachandra Achar, HOD, Electronics and Communication, SMVITM

Dr. Balachandra Achar H V, Professor & HOD of Electronics & Communication Engineering, SMVITM, Bantakal, was conferred with Ph.D. degree for his thesis entitled “Silicon Nanoporous Membranes for Biomolecular Separation” by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), during its 51^st convocation ceremony held on 18 July 2014. Dr. Achar had earlier submitted his thesis under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Enakshi Bhattacharya, Department of Electrical Engineering, IITM, and had successfully defended the same during the viva voce examination held on 26 February 2014. He has presented parts of his research work in four international conferences held in India and abroad, and published two papers in reputed International Journals.
