Free eye and cataract check up

The community club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management in association with Prasad Nethralaya, Udupi, Nethra Jyothi Charitable Trust®, Udupi District Health and Family Welfare Society and Andhatva Nivarana Vibhaga®, Udupi district, jointly organized a “Free Eye and Cataract Check-Up Camp” on 20 April 2013 from 2.00PM to 5.00PM at the Institute premises. The Chief Guest of the occasion, Dr. Krishna Prasad K. of Prasad Nethralaya explained the importance of health of the eyes and informed the latest technologies available for treatment of eyes. Presiding over the function, the Principal Prof. Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal requested the public and the students to make better use of the camp. Mr. Nithyananda Nayak of Nethra Jyothi Charitable Trust was present on the occassion.

The coordinators of Community club of the Institute, Mr. Prashanth M. D. and the members were present. The programme commenced with the invocation by Mr. Preetham Adiga and and Mr. Anush Bhagawath welcomed the gathering. Mr. Rahul Kotian introduced the chief guest while, Mr. Adhish Shetty thanked all those responsible for the success of the event. The programme was compered by Mr. Nihal Shetty. More than 100 students, public and staff were present in the program and utilized the opportunity of free eye checkup.
