FREE DENTAL CHECK UP CAMP

The community club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal in association with A.B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Deralakette, Mangalore has jointly organized a free dental checkup camp on Sunday 24 April 2016 from 9.00am to 1.30pm in the institute premises for the benefit of the students, staff and villagers of the surroundings. In this camp, oral health care services such as oral health education, oral screening, extraction of teeth, scaling of teeth, restoration of teeth and advice for further treatment etc. were available in the camp.

Dr. Kumuda Rao, Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology at A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Deralakatte, Mangaluru inaugurated the camp. Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat and Prof. Dr. A. Ganesha, Principal and Dean (Academics) of SMVITM respectively; Around 150 people, including members of the faculty, staff and students of SMVITM and the public has availed themselves of the services provided at the camp.

The student coordinators and main coordinator of the community club, Faculty coordinators were present throughout the camp.
