IQAC in association with ISTE Faculty Chapter of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, Udupi, organized 5 Days Faculty Development Program “UTKARSH”. The FDP inaugurated on 6 October 2022 at 9:30AM in the college premises. Faculty from SMVITM and various colleges participated in the FDP. The two resource persons were Mr. Bhagavan S K and Dr. Rajendra Joshi from Mission 10X of Wipro Technologies.
During the inauguration of FDP Mr. Bhagavan S K said teaching is to touch a life forever, so our mission here is to train you in this direction. Another resource person of the FDP Dr. Rajendra Joshi said teaching- learning is continuum and remembered the famous quote “Anybody who dares to teach must be prepared to learn”. He continued his speech, and said UGC and AICTE have approved technological driven education, so faculties are supposed to equip and excel in this regard.
Sri. Rathnakumar, Secretary, Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, Udupi was the chief guest and said we are fortunate to have such eminent personalities as speakers in this FDP. And I am sure that they will enrich the participants in this training. He appreciated the principal and IQAC for organizing this FDP.
Dr. Thriumaleshwara Bhat, Principal presided over the ceremony and said India is charting a new economic growth road map to emerge as a truly self-reliant energy secure nation by 2047, and for this to happen we are being faculty have got major role to play to educate the youths of future generation and help them to contribute to the society in turn to the Nation. Also he emphasized that teachers should be passionate about teaching and not just limited to their profession.
Dr Sudhashan Rao, Dean IQAC and HOD of ME Dept. welcomed the gathering, Ms. Yashaswini A.S, Sr. Asst. Professor, CSE Dept. and Ms. Lahari Vaidya, Asst. Professor, ECE Dept. introduced the two resource persons of the FDP and Mr. Sudhir, Sr. Asst. Professor, ME Dept. proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Sowmya S, Sr. Asst. Professor from CSE Dept. was the master of ceremony.
