Five Day Faculty Development Program on “Health Care Analytics” at SMVITM

The inaugural function of Five Days Faculty Development programme on “Health Care Analytics” organized by Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management in association with Biomedical Engineering Society of India and Indian Society for Technical Education was held on 09th January 2023. The faculty development programme is devoted to address the need of technological developments in data science and its allied fields. The aim of this FDP is to create an awareness on the usage of analytics and importance of security in the healthcare domain. Mr Somnath Jogi, Director, Kambala Solutions, Mangaluru was the chief Guest. He told that Learning is a continuous process and such faculty development programmes will help in improving the skillset. Such programmes have huge benefit as the knowledge acquired by the faculties can be imparted to the student fraternity. Shri RathnaKumar, Secretary, Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust Udupi was the Guest of Honor. He told that there is engineering behind every medical research happening in the present. He also told that such FDP’s not only enrich the minds of the faculty but also give them
new horizons to work in and it should be done regularly. Dr Thirumaleshwar Bhat was the president of the event. He appreciated the efforts of the computer science Department for organizing FDP on Health Care which is the need of the present days. Mrs. Preethi M Assistant Professor from Department of Computer Science & Engineering proposed the vote of Thanks. Mrs. Savitha A Shenoy, Senior Assistant Professor from Department of Computer Science & Engineering was the master of Ceremony for the inaugaral programme.

Valedictory function was commenced at 12.30PM on 13th Jan 2023 at CC III, admin block and Prof. Dr. Ganesh Aithal, Vice Principal, SMVITM Udupi, addressed the gathering. He spoke about the importatance of such sessions and appreciated and thanked all the resource persons and organizing committee of the event. Participants shared  their valuable feedbacks. Certificates were distributed to participants by Mrs. Suparna Shetty, Managing Director – Eterna Infotech. HOD of Computer Science and Engineering Dr. Soumya J. Bhat was present during the event.Mrs. Preeti M. was the master of ceremony for the valedictory function.
