Inauguration by Prof. N. Ramesh, Regional In-Charge, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Bangalore.
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & management, Bantakal organized a one-day “Entrepreneurship Competencies and Project Selection Criteria” for the final year students on 28 October 2013.
The camp was inaugurated at 9 am at the institute premises. The resource person for the camp was Prof. N. Ramesh, Regional In-Charge, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Bangalore.
During his short speech, Prof. Ramesh said that the very concept of entrepreneurship has changed since the 90’s and entrepreneurship is viewed as a way of living and a philosophy of life post the 90’s.
Shri Ratnakunar, Secretary, Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, Udupi was the guest of honour on the occasion. Prof. Nagaraja Rao, Head of the Electronics & Communication Engineering Department at SMVITM welcomed the gathering.
The function was presided over by the Principal Prof. Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal and attended by Prof. Dr. Ganesha A, and Dean (academics) of SMVITM, Bantakal respectively.
In the morning session, the resource person thrown a light on topics such as Entrepreneurial competencies, skills necessary for an entrepreneur, how to venture into an enterprise, organize and manage an enterprise ably and competently and how to realize the goal for which the enterprise is established. He also covered topics such as Business Priority, Customer impact, Availability of Resources, time management etc in the afternoon session.
