Entrepreneurship and Technology Business Incubation

A two day workshop “Entrepreneurship and Technology Business Incubation” was held at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM), Bantakal in Udupi district from October 26 – 27 2015 for the students of the college.

The program was arranged by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the college. Prof. B S. Revankar, the Ex-Director of NITK-STEP and Dr. Vasudeva of TAPMI, Manipal were the resource person for the awareness camp.

Prof. Vasudeva delivered detailed talk on business plan and also various issues to be addressed during the business plan preparation and funding opportunities by various institutions.

Prof. B. S Revankar covered issues such as basics of entrepreneurship, achievement motivation, idea generation, and selection criteria with case studies, which were well received by the students.

In these sessions, both experts used several examples to narrate importance of Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship as a carrier option.

Prof. Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal, Director, Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, Prof. Dr. A. Ganesha, Dean (Academics) were present during the function.

Mr. Ramachandra of CS department welcomed the gathering and Entrepreneurship Development Cell coordinator Mr. Arun Upadhyaya proposed the vote of thanks at the end of the program
