CSE-Alumni Interaction

The Alumni Cell of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering has organized a Student-Alumni interaction activity by Mr. Chintan Shetty and Mr. Hansen Lobo on 10 March 2022 at 10:00 AM

The alumni members, Mr. Chintan Shetty and Mr. Hansen Lobo addressed students on problem formulation for the hackathons. Mr. Chintan Shetty is now working as an Assistant System Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services Private Limited. Mr. Hansen Lobo is a Software Engineer with NTT Data Services. They were the finalist of the Smart India Hackathon 2019, they shared their experiences during their participation in the Smart India Hackathon-2019. They motivated the students and informed them on how to develop problem statements for the Hackathons or technical events. They also mentioned the numerous difficulties that participants faces during the execution of the ideas technically. During their presentation, Mr. Chintan stressed the significance of participating in hackathons, stating that a hackathon is now more than simply an event, but also a platform for the process of job recruitment, idea generation and many other things. Also, they advised students on how to prepare for interviews and stressed the necessity of having a LinkedIn profile. Both of them responded to the audience’s questions at the end of the session. The session was interactive and fruitful.

Ms. Sahana welcomed the gathering and introduced the speaker to the audience. Dr. Nagaraj Bhat, HOD of CSE appreciated the resource persons for inspiring students to participate in Hackathons. Staff  & faculty members of the department and students of SMVITM attended the event.
