Competition on Implementation of National Education Policy 2020

Detailed report on the activity:

The Co Curricular & Extra curricular Committee of SMVITM has conducted the Institute level Quiz,Essay & Elocution competition on Implementation of National Education Policy 2020 for students of all branches and all semesters of SMVITM on  16th & 17th December, 2022.

The program is an initiative to help engineering students to know about Implementation of National Education Policy 2020.Competitions will be conducted as per the directions of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, under good and transparent administration scheme of Ministry of Education, GOI. Institute level winners can participate in university level competitions.

Essay:

Essay competition on ‘Implementation of National education policy 2020’ was conducted

on 16^th December, 2022. Total of 36 students participated in the competition. Students participated

with enthusiasm and detailed explanation of National Education Policy 2020 was seen in the manuscript. Students have understood the importance and the change which NEP 2020 could bring in the near future.

Mr. Ravinarayan & Dr. Raja Yatheesh Yadav , Department of Mechanical Engineering were the judges for the event. The competition was coordinated  by  Mr. Manjunath ,Dept. of Mechanical Engineering.

Quiz:

Quiz competition on National Education Policy 2020 was conducted for students on 16-12-2020 at LH105. 30 students from various streams of engineering department participated in the contest.

The National Education Policy 2020 proposed various reforms in school education as well as higher education including technical education that has to be adopted by all educational institutions. The competition helped to create awareness about the importance of the policy among students.

The competition was coordinated  by  Ms. Savitha Shenoy ,Dept. of Computer science Engineering.

Elocution:

Elocution  competition on National Education Policy 2020 was conducted for students on 17-12-2020 in the admin block seminar hall.  7 students from various streams of engineering department registered in the contest.The students expressed their views on NEP 2020. Mrs. Dhanya Shenoy ,Department of CSE & Dr. H.Udaya Prasanna , Department of Mechanical Engineering were the judges for the event.

The competition was coordinated  by  Ms. Dhanyashree Vinay,Dept. of Mathematics.

The NEP event was coordinated  by co curricular coordinator Ms. Renita S Monis,Department of Mathematics.
