CET-KEA Pre-Counseling and Career Guidance Programme

Under the auspices of Shri Krishna Mutt, Udupi, Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust(SSVMET), Udupi and Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management(SMVITM), Bantakal, Udupi; a “CET-KEA Pre-Counseling and Career Guidance Programme” was arranged on Sunday, 09 June 2013 in the “Rajangana” of Shri Krishna Mutt, Udupi; for the benefit of all student aspirants of Udupi Dist. and the coastal region, having appeared for Common Entrance Test (CET)-2013 conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority(KEA). Mr. Shruthakeerthiraja, Former CET Counselor of Mangalore Center and Principal of Excellent P U College, Moodabidri was the main resource person, who gave a clear picture of CET Counseling Process and clarified their common doubts regarding allotment of seats.

Prof. Dr. Pushpa Kini, HOD(Pediatrics), KMC, Manipal and Prof. Dr. Jagannath K, Associate Director(Alumni, Public & International Relations), MIT, Manipal addressed the gathering on “Prospects and Challenges of pursuing a career in “Medical & allied field” and “Engineering field” respectively. This was followed by a short documentary show on “Profile of a Promising, Prospective Engineering Institution: SMVITM, Bantakal”. His Holiness Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt, Udupi inaugurated this very useful programme, in the general interest of student community and the public. A gathering of more than 800 people with around 260 student aspirants got benefited.
