Annual Sports Meet 2015

The fifth Annual Sports Meet of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management, Bantakal was held on 14 Feb 2015. Dr. Kemparaj H.B., Director of Physical Education, Manipal University was the guest of honour at the inaugural held in the morning. Inaugurating the event, Dr. Kemparaj said that fitness of the mind and fitness of the body were equally important and participating in sporting activities would make one develop a competitive and winning spirit and enable one to take both winning and losing equanimously and eventually would make him or her successful in life.

H. H. Shri Vishwa Vallabha Thirtha Swamiji, President of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust (SSVMET), Udupi, presided over the inaugural function and gave away the prizes to the winners in the various indoor and outdoor games organized in connection with the meet.

Mr. Kalyan Shetty, Sports Secretary of the Student Council administered the oath to the participants. Mr. Akash Shetty welcomed the gathering and Mr. Ashwath Shetty introduced the guest of honor. Ms. Navya Sanil proposed the vote of thanks. Sri Raghvendra Tantry, Member SSVMET; Prof. Radhakrishna S. Aithal, Principal; Prof. Ganesha A, Dean and Mr. Prashanth M.D., Assistant Physical Education Director were present.

The inaugural program was followed by different athletic meets  organized by Physical education department, for the students and faculty members. All the athletes participated energetically

and enthusiastically. These competitions were judged by staffs, faculties and physical director of our college. The program came to a close by 6 pm.
