Alumnus talk on “Opportunities for an Entrepreneur”

Alumni cell in association with the Department of Mechanical Engineering organized the program. Our proud alumni and young entrepreneur Mr. Narasimha Pai K visited our on 20 April 2018 and interacted with pre-final year Mechanical Engineering students. Mr. Pai is a first batch Mechanical Engineering pass out of our college. He has established Matha Industries at Katapady, Udupi district, a small scale industry manufacturing paper cups and plates. The activity was conducted in the Library block seminar hall.

In his address he has briefed about the various opportunities to establish small scale industries in and around Udupi. He spoke about the challenges which he has faced in establishing his industry. He has given a detailed comparison between an employee and an entrepreneur. He also spoke about the various financial organizations, which give financial assistance for establishing small scale industries along with the documents required for applying for the financial assistance.

Our students had fruitful interaction with our alumnus and interacted with him clearing some of their doubts.

HOD of Mechanical Engineering Dr. Sudarshan Rao K, Institutional Alumni Co-ordinator Mr. Aditya Kudva S and other faculty of Mechanical Engineering were present in the session. Mr. Raja Yateesh Yadav, Assistant Professor (Sr.), Department of Mechanical Engineering compeered the program.
