Alumnus Talk on “Career Opportunities in Automation & Robotics” Enlightens Mechanical Students

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at SMVITM, in collaboration with the Alumni Cell and ISTE Student Chapter, organized an insightful alumnus talk on 10 May 2025. Mr. Rakshith R, a 2015–2019 batch alumnus and Project Engineer at ABB Global Industries & Services Ltd., shared his professional journey and spoke on emerging opportunities for mechanical engineers in automation and robotics. The session covered vital topics like Industry 4.0, the role of AI and IoT, and encouraged students to upskill with SCADA and PLC programming.
