Alumni talk on “Opportunities for Higher Education in Abroad for Mechanical Engineers”

The Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with Alumni cell of the institute has organized an alumni talk on “Opportunities for Higher Education in Abroad for Mechanical Engineers” on 05 May 2024 at 10:00 AM. Our proud alumnus of 2012-2016 batch Mr. Prathviraj Upadhyaya, currently working as Ph.D Research Scholar, SEAM Research Centre, Ireland was the resource person of the program.

Mr. Prathviraj Upadhyaya, in his address briefed the for Higher Education in Abroad for Mechanical Engineers. Mr. Prathviraj has thrown light on the following aspects in his address.

• Importance of Ph.D/masters degree in career prospective
• Basic necessities and admission procedure for masters in foreign universities.
• Incentives and facilities provided by the shipping companies to their employees.
• Fees structure for masters in different foreign universities.
• Collaborations with industry and different universities for research
• D processs – from defining a research problem to publishing results.

Department alumni coordinator Mr. Hithesh Mendon was coordinated the program. Around 36 students and few faculty members have attended the program. Senior faculty member Dr. Manjunatha S has handed over memento and appreciation letter to the speaker and thanked all the attendees. Mr. Ananth Mohan Mallya has compeered the program and the program was concluded by 11:00 AM.
