A report on Swamijis’ visit to SMVITM – 20 January 2014

His Holiness Shri Vishwavallabha Thirtha Swamiji, the Chairman of the Governing Council of SMVITM & the President of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust made a visit to the Institute on 20 Jan.2014. He was received at the campus entrance by the Principal, Deans and Heads of the Departments. Accompanied by a chendai ensemble of SMVITM students, Swamiji was taken to the seminar hall at  the Admin Block, where His Holiness interacted with the faculty & staff. During a very short speech addressed to the faculty and staff, His Holiness said that he would do everything possible to see SMVITM emerge as the best institution not only in the region but in the state and the country also. Principal Prof. Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal presented a brief account of the progress the Institute had made over the short period since its inception and expressed his gratitude and support it offered in making SMVITM “neighbour’s envy but owner’sto the Management for the whole hearted cooperation pride.” Shri.Ratnakumar, Secretary, SSVMET who accompanied the Swamiji said that the Management would leave  no stones unturned to make SMVITM the most sought after destination of students and a centre of excellence in technical education in the region in the near future. Later, Swamiji, accompanied by the Principal, Deans and HOD’s, visited the various departments. He stayed on until he saw every section of various departments and made himself informed of all the major academic and non academic activities at the Institute and expressed his satisfaction over the rapid but steady progress the Institute had made.
