Annual Sports Meet 2019

The ninth Annual Sports Meet of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management, Bantakal was held on 28 February 2019.

Mr. Mahesh Prasad, Police Circle Inspector, Kaup was the chief guest at the inaugural function held in the morning. Inaugurating the event, Mr. Mahesh Prasad appreciated Ms. Rashmi, NCC cadet of SMVITM and said that he was also a NCC Cadet. He emphasized that students must give importance to sports together with academics. He advised students to work with the motto “nation first”. He also gave away prizes to the winners in the sports competitions held for the staff on the occasion.

Shri Rathnakumar, Secretary of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust (SSVMET), Udupi, presided over the inaugural function. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal of the institute, Mr. Abdul Khadar, Police Sub Inspector, Shirva, Mr. Srinivasa B M, Physical Education Director, and HODs of various departments, faculty and staff members were present during the function.

Mr. Ramith Shetty, administered the oath to the participants. Ms. Vaishnavi Pai welcomed the gathering and Ms. Niharika proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Tanusha Shetty compered the program. Attractive March past was held before the inauguration. Contingent of Civil engineering students won the best contingent award in March Past.
