One-day workshop on “Bots on Track”

The Department of Electronics and Communication, in association with the Technocrators Club, successfully organized a one-day workshop on Bots on Track at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, on 07/03/2025. The workshop was led by Mr. Pavan (2nd year ECE), Mr. Raveesha (2nd year ECE), and Mr. Kaushik (2nd year ECE), distinguished students of SMVITM. The event was conducted with the support of Mr. Arun Upadhyaya, in charge HOD, ECE and Ms. Pavithra Poornima S, Assistant Professor (Sr.), who is also the coordinator of the Technocrators Club. The workshop provided an in-depth exploration of Bots, Line Followers, and Robo Soccer. The morning sessions introduced participants to the fundamentals of bots, including an overview of their internal hardware components. This was followed by a session on “Line Follower Robotics”, where attendees gained insights into programming autonomous robots to navigate predefined paths. A key highlight of the event was a live demonstration of drone operations, offering insights into RC transmitters and remote-controlled mechanisms. The final session focused on Robo Soccer Bots, reinforcing the principles covered earlier and sparking discussions on the future of autonomous bots and potential innovations in the field.
